Spotlight: Introducing Mike May, Project Manager

Michael’s background has been fully in construction from leaving school. He started his first role as a construction buyer and from there moved up to roles of procurement manager, commercial manager, technical manager, design manager, project manager and construction director.

Michael has experience of many construction types and methods, covering health centres, hospitals, schools, road and sewers, apartment blocks and housing developments.

His main achievements are running and over seeing the design and completion of some iconic landmarks such as the Deganwy Castle Hotel and the former Rothesay hotel, bringing them back to life as luxury apartments, the newbuild of Leigh health park medical centres and many housing developments for developers which have been nominated for award or won awards.

Michael’s accreditations include:

  • Diploma in construction project management
  • HNC Building studies
  • SMSTS

Outside of work Michael is a keen squash and racket ball player.
